Jasmine Mathew, CTRS, CEO

I am excited that I am able to offer Recreational Therapy services through Home Health Care Services! I am also qualified to provide Aquatic Therapy, especially helpful with this Texas heat! My adaptive dance experience also has given me certification in Chair One Fitness, which is dance fitness in a seated group, as well as BollyX LIT, which is a Bollywood dance fitness program specifically designed for Low-Impact exercise for all ages and abilities. As a Recreation Therapist, I can assist in bringing clients to be part of community events, empower them to be financially independent and responsible, be part of a social group, find new and past leisure experiences, and encourage physical skills through fun. Amy graduated from Texas Woman’s University in 2004, completing her Master’s degree in occupational therapy. She has worked in pediatrics for 20 years with a wide variety of diagnoses, specializing in  traumatic brain injury, developmental delay, Cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism and sensory processing disorder. She currently treats kids of all ages with the primary goal of improving the quality of life for children and their families. She opened her private pay practice 5 years ago, treating out of a private school in Plano. She has since grown her business to allow her to work more independently, while emphasizing education, as well as collaboration, with the child, family, and other providers on their team. This allows her to maximize the children’s function and enjoyment in daily life, without the confines of the treatment frequency and parameters that insurance requires. She loves being creative as well as utilizing the energy and  imagination that children bring to therapy sessions. Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, competitive ballroom dancing, and traveling around the world.
